is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering Technology of KU Leuven. He is a member of the STADIUS division of the Department of Electrical Engineering and a member of eMedia research lab at campus GroupT. His research interest is ICT decision support in healthcare, particularly in active assisted living. He has (co-)authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers in international journals or conference proceedings. He is associate editor of IEEE–Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics.
